Anne Jablonski | RYT's Teacher Profile

Anne JablonskiWhen people ask Anne what kind of yoga she practices and teaches, she stammers awhile and eventually admits she has no idea, but it’s definitely great fun. Her love affair with yoga began later in life and was, she says, the cardinal element that made her life come true. Freeform yoga is her passion and she credits Erich Schiffmann with setting her own practice free — and nudging her along to the soul-bending realization that there is nothing that isn’t yoga.

Freeform Yoga in Fit Yoga

Shazzam! Fit Yoga magazine’s August 2008 issue has an article on cultivating a freeform yoga practice authored by yours truly. Check it out! If nothing else, it has one of the sweetest photos ever of iHanuman teacher Erich Schiffmann.

Is the Sticky Mat an Altar?

A survey of opinions on whether yoga is a religion offers a range of answers to suit any predisposition or bias. Passionate, polarized debates on ‘what yoga is’ surface time and again in books, on websites, and during awkward discussions with family members or friends trying to understand what it is that has drawn their [...]
