Christine is an RYT500, Anusara Affiliated teacher in the Certification process. Since the new millennium, Christine has received her 200-hour certificate from the Ashtanga Yoga Center (Washington, DC) and her 500-hour from Willow Street Yoga (Takoma Park, MD). She holds three B.A.s from Western Michigan University, where as a gymnast, began practicing Sivananda yoga in 1978.
As a perpetual student, Christine has enjoyed over 1500 teacher training hours in this decade. She plans to continue developing her practice and teaching skills with yet more study. She has completed a five-year Anusara apprenticeship in Therapeutics & Special Conditions, currently assists and apprentices with Suzie Hurley, and has experienced John Schumacher and K. Pattabhi Jois. She enjoys Rod Stryker, Beryl Bender Birch, and John Friend, soaking up as much from them as she can to deepen her own practice and help her become an even better teacher.
