Christy Brock | Yoga for Teens's Teacher Profile

Christy BrockChristy’s love of Yoga began in 1994 as a natural turnabout from the world of investment banking to a life of simpler means. From her early career at Bank of America in Charlotte, NC and JP Morgan in New York City, she gradually reoriented her life to teaching Yoga full time beginning 1997.

Her yoga training includes the Advanced Studies 2000 program at Rodney Yee’s Piedmont Yoga Studio and two trips to India studying at the Iyengar Institute in Pune. Over a decade of commitment to yoga practice and study has made her practice a mainstay of daily living.

Other formative experiences include her study with teachers Manouso, Ramanand Patel, Abhay Shivanji, Jinsung, and Mary Lou Weprin. She thanks K-Lea Gifford of 12South Yoga and Yoga Journal magazine for the experience she gained teaching for those organizations. Continue reading ›
