Prior to becoming a yoga teacher, Jennifer managed the online communications department at a large, environmental non-profit. She credits her yoga practice with helping to keep her steady and present amidst the intense challenges of a growing organization. It is from this point of personal transformation that Jennifer approaches her yoga teaching – she knows first hand the positive impact that yoga can have on busy, professional lives.

Jennifer focuses on helping her students reconnect to the body’s inherent wisdom and find deeper awareness through meditation-in-motion. Jennifer is also keenly interested in yoga’s ability to turn on the body’s “relaxation response,” allowing one to heal from the intense wear and tear that stress and anxiety wreak on the body. She encourages her students to approach asana, pranayama, meditation, and bodywork as essential ingredients for modern living.

Jennifer holds yoga teaching certifications from Pure Prana Yoga Studio in Alexandria, Virginia (RYT 200); the Nosara Yoga Institute (Self-Awakening Yoga & RYT 500); and Manju Jois (Ashtanga Yoga). She is also a certified Pranassage and Thai Yoga Therapy practitioner, receiving certifications from the Nosara Yoga Institute and the Thai Institute of Healing Arts respectively. Jennifer is also on the faculty of Pure Prana Yoga Studio’s 200hr Holistic Yoga Teacher Training.

Jennifer is grateful for the love and support of all her many teachers, especially her husband Bob and daughter Tilly.

When not on her mat, Jennifer offers graphic design and online communications consulting services to small businesses, companies, and non-profits that work to support a healthy planet and improve the quality of life for people everywhere.
