Mara Healy (E-RYT500) has had a focused yoga practice since the winter of 2002. She is a householder devoted to her husband of nearly 22 years, and together they are raising their 3 beautiful children. Mara has been learning the Universal Yoga System under the guidance of its founder and her Lama-la, Andrey Lappa, since 2005. She is certified in Universal Yoga ( Levels 1 & 2) and in Shiva Nata (Level 1). Mara credits her intensive studies with Andrey Lappa as expanding her growth in all areas of the eight limb path, and continues to study with him as much as possible. Mara has also been granted the blessing of Refuge Initiation into the Karma Kagyu Lineage through Rinpoche Lama-la Phuntsok, Andrey’s spiritual teacher, and head of The Lekshey Ling Institute in the Himalayas. Mara teaches classes, workshops and foundational teacher trainings at Yoga Flex in Charlotte, North Carolina in the tradition and spirit of authentic Mandala Vinyasa, based on Universal Yoga principles, with the personal blessing of her dear Lama-la, Andrey Lappa.
