After a temperate October, we have transitioned into the cooler days and nights of Fall - the perfect time of year to take stock of the year's inventory. Since last year felt as if we were constantly learning something new, these last two years feel like one long year and perhaps we are only now able to take stock and process what may have occurred. To the best of our ability, we take an honest inventory to reflect on our gains and losses. What are we ready to let go of and what do we want to take with us into the new year?
Grief is the emotion associated with the autumn months and so is an appropriate season to mourn any losses - physical, emotional or spiritual. It is comforting to know that one of the greatest remedies for both overcoming and strengthening our response to grief comes from the organs corresponding to autumn - the lungs and large intestine. Therefore, we encourage you to start a simple pranayama practice this season or strengthen your current pranayama practice at this time of year. We have several great classes to help you along and 20% off of ALL pranayama classes in November. Use the Coupon Code BREATHE at CHECKOUT.
The Lungs and the Large Intestine are two of the body's most important organs of elimination. In addition to toning and purifying the lungs with pranayama, the fall is an excellent time to cleanse the digestive system. Practice yoga for digestion as we mentioned last month, but also take inventory of your diet. I have some exciting news to share in upcoming news on this topic, so I hope you will stay tuned!
Thank you for your support.
