If you need some inspiration to reinvigorate your daily yoga practice, September is a great month to start.
iHanuman has a great resource with Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher, John Schumacher. We recorded 12 primary asanas to help you learn how to correctly align yourself with some basic standing poses and inversions. You can practice one a day or create your own playlist and practice several or all of the poses for a well-rounded yoga practice. We are looking for yogis to help us continue to build our online asana video library. If you or someone you know would like to contribute, please contact us.
YogaMonth.org has a growing list of festivals and free events celebrating Yoga Month. You can search their Global Events Directory for an event near you.
Yoga Journal hosts its 14th annual Yoga Journal Conference at Estes Park in Colorado September 20 - 27. Estes Park is located 70 miles Northwest of Denver and 40 miles from Boulder. With A Three Day Intensive with TKV Desikachar, you will not want to miss this extraordinary opportunity to study yoga with some of Yoga's Greatest Teachers.
Unfortunately, the annual National Institutes of Health canceled it's Mind Body Week for this year, but there are ample resources available for starting your yoga practice no matter where you currently reside. For video clips from last year's Conference, visit our features or our You Tube Channel.
Stay tuned for more tips on ways to invigorate your yoga practice this month...
