"High Quality Yoga Podcasts are available through iTunes, iHanuman, and Yoga Journal. "
- Yoga Journal, August 2009

Hanuman has been podcasting since 2006 and we find it to be a great way to get you the content you are interested in immediately. As soon as we publish one of our high quality podcasts, it is delivered directly to your favorite feedreader for you to download and listen to at your leisure.

How do I subscribe to the iHanuman Podcast?
The easiest way to receive these podcasts is to download the latest version of iTunes (it's absolutely free) onto your Mac or PC, and then follow these simple steps to subscribe:

1. Launch iTunes on your computer.
2. In the iTunes Menu bar click "Advanced", then "Subscribe to Podcast".
3. Copy this podcast link (PC users, right-click the previous link and select 'Copy Link Location'), paste it into Subscribe window in iTunes, and click OK.
4. iHanuman's Features Podcast will appear in the Podcast section of iTunes.

What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is the distribution of audio or video files, such as radio programs or music videos, over the internet using either RSS or Atom syndication for listening on mobile devices and personal computers. A podcast is a web feed of audio or video files placed on the Internet for anyone to subscribe to, and also the content of that feed. Podcasters' websites also may offer direct download of their files, but the subscription feed of automatically delivered new content is what distinguishes a podcast from a simple download or real-time streaming.

Podcasting's essence is about creating content (audio or video) for an audience that wants to listen when they want, where they want, and how they want.

What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources, such as NPR or CNN.com, including headlines, summaries, links to full stories.

How do I access RSS?
RSS/News Aggregators (also called Readers) will download and display RSS feeds for you. Many aggregators are separate, "stand-alone" programs; other services will let you add RSS feeds to a Web page. Two excellent free Feed Aggregators are Google Reader and Netvibes.

What RSS Feeds are available through iHanuman?
iHanuman has three primary feeds (links below are the specific Feed URL's):

iHanuman Special Features (our featured interviews and recorded talks)
iHanuman Yoga Blog (our yoga news blog)
iHanuman Sitewide Feed (everything from everybody on iHanuman)

In addition to these primary feeds, every iHanuman teacher has a RSS Feed assigned to his/her page which will pull all associated content, from blog posts to pictures in their image galleries. These feed URLs can be found in the sidebar of each teacher pages. In addition, many web browsers include an RSS icon in the address bar for pages that have RSS feeds. Clicking on this icon will either display the feed URL or add it to your reader.
