Our bodies are a transitory process not a fixed thing. Fascia or connective tissue is the material that binds the body together. The elastic tension in our bodies is maintained by the muscles and the connective tissue, together known as the myofascia, which give our system strength and flexibility. The myofascial system within our body is shaped by our patterns of experience that are repeated each day and remain held in our bodies. This myofascial web plays a central role in body structure, organization and posture. Our yoga gives us an awareness of, and an opportunity to, explore those patterns and bring about change in the balance of the tissue field.
